to set up and use the new Katrom-Blocker version you should fist go to chrome://extensions make sure developer is turned on( to check if it is turned on look at the top right and you will find developer mode written up turn it on if the switch is off . if the switch is colored blue that means it is turned on).
now we have to cancel the first update , so after you finish the first step above , now you have to find the Katrom extension when you find it you should find a remove button, press it, and your done you only need to load the new update file if you don't know how refer to the instructions below (steps to download Katrom-Blocker)
To download our Katrom-Blocker extension press the above button that says "download Katrom" you will be directed to a page so you can download the file just press the button shown in the picture and wait till the file downloads.
To extract the zip file downloaded on your windows you should find the zip file on "files" or it will be shown on your desktop, and the file may be called "Katrom-Blocker official.zip", then right click on the file, select extract all. once you've done this step you're zip file should have been extracted, and voilà!! your done extracting your file on windows. DO NOT OPEN THE FOLDER/FILE YOU DOWNLOADED FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AT "Selecting the extension on your browser"
To extract the zip file downloaded on Linux you should find the file on your files browser, then right click on the zip file you downloaded and you'll find a button named "Extract here" or "Unzip here" and you'll find a button named "Extract to"(if you want to choose a place to extract the file), once you extract you'll be done!! DO NOT OPEN THE FOLDER/FILE YOU DOWNLOADED FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AT "Selecting the extension on your browser"
To extract the zip file you downloaded you should enter Finder and search for the zip file you downloaded, double click on it and it should show you a new folder that may be called "Katrom-Blocker official" and this will be your Katrom-Blocker extension!! DO NOT OPEN THE FOLDER/FILE YOU DOWNLOADED FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AT "Selecting the extension on your browser"
Note: this extension will only work on chromium based browsers for ex: chrome, opera, brave ETC..., now you should write on your browser chrome://extensions and enter. this will take you to the extensions section on your browser. when you get to the extensions page, at the top right there is a developer mode switch, turn it on. and then 3 options will appear on the top left, click the button that says "load unpacked" and then select the "Katrom-Blocker official" folder that appeared once you extracted the zip file, and then press "select" or "open" and you're good to go. There you have the new Katrom-Blocker extension!!!!
Note: In case the ad-blocker didn't work at first you put it . you will find a refresh/reload button/icon right next to the remove button press it and you're good to go!!!!
Katrom has been published on 2020 December 15, it was a great idea for cyber security, we made 2 efficient products regardless of those. it was hard for a student to manage a soon to be an official company. for certain reasons we had to shutdown the company, this means there will be no more products made or any update. but our made products will still be available but by time they won't work well. The company is planning to have a fresh start after 4-5 years. Goodbye for now.
